How I did this.... full highlight foil (GOLDWELL silk lift strong 30vol.) followed by a base-break at the bowl (11A +9na +30 vol. for 3min.) Shampoo and rough dry to add a new placement of purple color foils(VV@all ) Process for 20 minutes then rinse and and gloss with 10sb GOLDWELL for 15min.... Blow dry and curl.... shake and Spray you favorite dry shampoo ;).

Friends and Clients- Good news! The governor of Massachusetts has announced that we can reopen our doors next week (May 26th). For now, we will be referring to the state guidelines for support and will be looking into how we can make sure that we can provide services and safety for all under these new rules. My really good friend Lynn just went through hell battling lymphoma. She’s good now 🤞 and this was the first time she’s been at the salon in a year. She was able to grow her hair back out just enough to get it cut and colored. Loosing your hair is definitely one of the worst feelings anyone can have and it was really hard for her as she struggled to feel good because she used to have long beautiful blonde colored hair and it all fell out after her treatments. Her hair is now back and it was time to do something about it. This is where I come in... in situations like this is where I am the most comfortable and reminds me of how much I love my job, because of what I can do to help someone feel the way they feel after I help them with their hair. Yup.. it’s a (lob) long bob hair cut done with a razor. Love this looks and the technique. Giving the hair a nice soft finish through the ends.

Results take time and it’s more of a process than most think. When you are making an appointment, make sure to let them know what it is that you are looking to do. This balayage takes a little longer than the typical foil but it’s not to say that one technique is better than the other. If you can book a consultation first that’s best and go from there as it may take a few balayage’s to get where you need to be. 🧐

New England winters can be hard on blondes and hard to maintain. Between the dry weather and not enough sunshine the color can look a little yellow. The key to this color is to use multiple toners around the face and back to create a clean and crisp look after highlighting the hair with a high-lift color and a lightener with control to get rid of any unwanted warmth!

Formula for dark chocolate all over - Goodwell Coverplus 10ml 4bp, 10ml 5n, 10ml 6mb, 3ml 4g. Milk chocolate highlights melted into the all over chocolate Goldwell Topchic 10ml 8a, 5ml 7mb, 20 vol. process for 25 min!

If you are a blonde and are concerned with the way your roots look after 6 weeks, Then maybe is time to get a Balayage instead. They are a little more upfront but they last longer and grow out a bit more natural. This is huge if you are a “Power-Blonde” but hates the way your hair grows out! :)

As much as I love a good balayage, sometimes foils the old-school way really hit the spot. when it comes to a well balanced blonde with technical transition between two colors to create a masterpiece this is the way to go... and of course it does help when clients like Molly have awesome hair to work with!

Who thinks that brunette colors are easy to make or boring...?! She came in with 4 inches of gray and took 3 1/2 hrs to get her color this gorgeous!

I’ve done this technique a few times on her. I call it “wetalayage” short for -wet- balayage-. It’s done in the sink while the hair is wet and as you can see the results are so creamy and smoothly blended from roots to ends. Half the time all the glory!
